the great Khan and the Himalayan Black Bear

The great Khan once went traveling with his wife's brother, whom he hated, his wife and mother-in-law, and about her and his feelings, less said is wiser.

One night in the journey, the great Khan's wife woke to find her mother gone. She woke up the great Khan and her brother and they went out in search of her. In a forested place not far from their campsite they came upon a terrible situation. The old lady was was cornered in a thicket, amidst trees and rocks, with a fierce Himalayan Black Bear growling at her.

The great Khan's wife asked: “How can we rescue her? What should we do?”

“Absolutely nothing,” said the great Khan, “The Black Bear has got himself into this problem. He deserves it. He will have to get out of it. Imagine the nightmares HE is going to have after this!”
